Access Virus Ti OS 3.1 Released, along with new Website
COLUMN: Access Music has announced that their latest non-beta OS for their Ti line of keyboards is available for download. They are also formally announcing their new website is live, however it’s still a bit buggy as of today when I visited the English version. The page gives me a red drop down telling me I need to use a newer Web browser such as IE8, which I’m using on WinXP/SP3 (doh!). The site gives no such error with Firefox 3.5.2. Also, in order to download the update you have to re-register on the site, and put in your hardware’s serial number, which means those of you with a rack version may have to go look at your unit, as I did (major pain! but understandable to conserve bandwidth).
According to Access, “OS 3.1 for the entire Virus TI series is available for download. This version includes all the improvements and bug fixes introduced with the recent public beta versions and is recommended for every Virus TI. Among other issues, multiple possible crash scenarios have been addressed. The new operating systems is available today as a free download.
Also 8 new soundsets have been made available free of charge and can be downloaded through the new Access Music website. Please note that downloading OS versions and soundsets requires a new registration which is free of charge, of course.
Registering also enables you to use the new Access Music forum to discuss Virus related topics.”
