Music Computing Releases ClearVIEW mini – Transparent Portable Touchscreen Controller
AUSTIN, Texas (MuseWire) – Hollywood often writes checks the real world just can’t cash, but not this time. You’ve seen them in movies like Avatar and Iron Man…those wonderful semi-transparent touchscreens, and have wondered if they are ever going to be available for the common person. ClearVIEW mini is the latest addition to Music Computing’s MotionCOMMAND line of multi-touch products.
Available in a 22” wide-screen size, the ClearVIEW mini provides 2 simultaneous touch capabilities for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS X. The frosted glass touch surface allows the projected image to partially reflect back to the audience, while displaying the main image to the user.
ClearVIEW mini comes complete with a retractable stand and universal video projector mount.
A short throw projector is recommended, but a standard throw projector can also be used with the optional floor stand. The ClearVIEW mini is available at the ground breaking price of $699, which is on par with most professional MIDI controllers in the market today.
“The concept of a semi-transparent multi-touchscreen is not new,” said Victor Wong, CEO, Music Computing. “However, they’ve been very large, heavy, and expensive. ClearVIEW mini is the first to offer true portability and to be priced affordably.”
The Clearview mini is designed for use as a video controller for music applications as well as an interactive display for business or general purpose computing.
ClearVIEW mini connects to a computer or laptop via a single USB cable. Setup and take down of the ClearVIEW mini is less than 5 minutes and the folding stand can be disassembled to fit into a shoulder bag.
The ClearVIEW mini is currently shipping.
