New VESTRI dongle DAC and headphone amp is full of Schiit, Mesh that is
MUSEWIRE – Music News / Schiit Audio has recently unveiled their new portable “dongle DAC” and headphone amp, dubbed the VESTRI, which uses their well received MESH digital to analog conversion (DAC) and Unison USB tech. Designed for portable on-the-go audiophile sound from phones and tablets, or any USB-capable device (including desktop PC/notebook).

According to Schiit Audio, the new product features a “milled aluminum and glass chassis with no moving parts and a screen that’ll last an eternity, it delivers the power and features you need to enjoy your music anywhere.”
Vestri features support for 4.4mm balanced or 1/8” single-ended headphones and delivers up to 400mW from balanced, easily handling hard-to-drive headphones. It includes Schiit’s industry-leading Unison USB interface and Mesh digital to analog conversion technologies for superior data from a USB source. Touch to turn volume up, touch to turn down.
Touch to select Loudness for sound at low volume, Invert to improve bad digital recordings, and NOS mode. Vestri has no moving parts, and a “eternal screen” with individual LEDs under glass that will never dim or burn in.
Vestri comes with 2 year warranty, and is designed and built in the U.S.A., and starts at $99 (some options can increase cost).
