The Roland’s VR 700 is the kind of keyboard I’ve always wanted. I just received mine a couple of months ago and am getting fairly used to it. It’s got every sound I’ve ever wanted in a keyboard but the only 2 things that I don’t like about it is:

    1. STRINGS. I’ve played with all the available strings on it but have just not found the String Ensemble that I’m looking for. I’ve previously played a Yamaha DX-7 and it had the best strings (after I tweeked it a bit) that I liked. I wish I had similar tweeking abilities on the VR 700.

    2. THE WEIGHT – 35 lbs……I find it a bit heavy to lug around from gig to gig.
