Tascam announce new CD-500 single rack space CD Player
NAMM 2011 Anaheim, Calif. (MuseWire) – TASCAM has updated their best-selling line of single-rackspace CD players with the CD-500 and CD-500B. The new slot-loading players include new features such as flash start with a front-panel 10-key pad, WAV file playback, front-panel lockout, a footswitch input and more. The unbalanced CD-500 includes RS-232C control, S/PDIF optical and coaxial output. The CD-500B adds balanced outputs, AES/EBU digital out and parallel control.
The new transport in the CD-500 and CD-500B uses a brushless motor for improved reliability and durability. The drive grabs discs from the edges instead of top and bottom, which avoids damage to the disc surface. Other features include ±16% pitch control, MP3 file playback, auto ready and auto cue modes.
